Roof Repointing
Over time, mortar joints can become ineffective and warped. This can be corrected by repointing: carefully hacking out the dried, defective mortar and renewing the joints, both horizontally and vertically, without damaging the existing brick surfaces.
Before we begin
Any defective bricks are removed and replaced first, so the finished work looks clean and tidy. The existing brickwork is also checked for other defects before the loose mortar is chipped out.

How the joints are renewed
The mortar is mixed to the right consistency, neither too wet nor too stiff, and applied to the open joints with a small trowel, pressing it carefully into place.
The mortar is allowed to ooze out slightly onto the brick face, and a soft-bristled hand brush removes the excess. The process is repeated across the entire wall or chimney surface.
